The Emperor Door
Emperor Door is the biggest door of the Hagia Sophia which allows the passage to the main space from the inner side of narthex and dated back to the 6th century. The Emperor door is 7 meters in height, it has bronze frames and made of oak. The door’s upper side of the wings covered with bronze plaques and it was used only by emperor and his delegation. The information of the door may be built by using the woods which are also used in the construction of Noah’s Ark as well as the woods from the same chest where the holy plates of Jewish community is kept in the Eastern Roman sources.
